Scholarship History

KKIS was founded by Gayle Collins, a retired teacher from the US and a Charter Member of our Seaside Rotary.  KKIS works tirelessly to identify students who are motivated, capable, and committed to maintaining the high academic standards required for scholarship eligibility. 

Over the years, Seaside has worked hand in hand with KKIS every fall to provide school backpacks filled with school supplies as well as Adopt a Classroom projects for needed furntiture, equipment and supplies.  

And, every year, Seaside Rotary provides 3 to 5 students with KKIS scholarships.
