The 2020 edition of Seaside Rotary’s Riviera Maya Chili Cook-Off is in the books and it was by far the best year yet! The amount of effort, enthusiasm and talent our 2020 Chefs exhibited was unprecedented!
In the end, Team “Gringo Down” (Sonia and Tim DeLong) came home with the WIN for the 3rd year in a row, their Texas Competition Chili taking home not only the Popular Vote but the Judges’ Choice as well! Second place went to Team “Operation Inferno Underwear” (Juan Rivera and Andrew Reyes) with their Dragon’s Breath Chili. Third place was split between Team “Crazy Canucks”(Kim Widdecombe and Tim Parks) and “The Spicy Girls” (Brandi Mahan, Robyn Hamerly and Lindsay Hashop)!
All the Chefs presented delicious recipes and everyone had a great time, participants and tasters alike. Thank you to everyone who makes this event a success year after year. All funds raised will support Seaside Rotary’s programs and initiatives in the local community benefitting children and families in need.
