Today, our club had the great pleasure of introducing our good friend (“Padrino” of Seaside Rotary) and District Governor Julio Perez Tovar to Martha Honorina Herrera and her wonderful students and teachers at the community school in the colonia of Torres de la Paz.
At this school, we have installed solar panels and equipped a kitchen for our pilot feeding program. This newest Seaside Rotary program will feed over 80 children one nutritious meal three days a week. This effort will be ongoing and we hope to be able to expand to other schools in the future to help many more of the disadvantaged families and at-risk children in our service area, Solidaridad.
